Another collectable field is the world of Phonograph and Gramophone advertising, which was prolific in the first 50 or so years of the recording industry. Collectable items to be found are Talking Machine brochures, Record lists, Posters, Post cards, Christmas and Easter greeting cards to name but a few. In fact anything, which was used to promote the industry, is collectable.

Cylinder and Disc records where also used by Gramophone and Phonograph manufactures not only to promote their own products, but were also used to promote products by other manufactures. Many shops and business had their own record labels some were used as promotional advertising. Record dealers also used Cylinder boxes and record sleeves to advertise their name and wares
