The company will create Edison’s factory in 1890 and wish to borrow, and will pay a hire fee for, either a replica or an original Edison phonograph of that time, to be used in that setting. The machine required is likely to be one of his very early electric phonographs.
This will be a high profile film and we have been asked to try and locate a suitable phonograph, and associated contemporary fittings that would have been found in the 1890 factory, as soon as possible.
If you can help, or know anyone who could do so, please contact Terry Jones of The Current War Film Company on 07831 784195 or email@example.com. Filming of the relevant parts is due to start shortly and is scheduled to finish by the end of January 2017.
